Gokulachandramaji carried in procession to be received Rawat Jodh Singh at Kotariya Palace. By a Nathdwara artist, circa mid-19th century. Opaque watercolour with gold and silver on wasli. 27.2 x 35.3cm
Gokulachandramaji (Moon of Gokula) is one of the smaller sacred images representing Krishna in the Pushti Marg sect. The landscape in the painting fits that of Kotariya, near Nathdwara, whilst the rawat is identified by inscription.
