In Vol. V The Fourth Stage Isfandiyar is warned that when he next travels for his fourth trial he will come across a witch. When he does she is disguised as a beautiful woman but as soon as Isfandiyar utters the name of god she returns to normal and before she can cause him harm is slayed.
With thanks to the kindness of Tarun Pant for identifying the narrative action.
