The text in the upper panel describes the scene: 'As the sun rises, the nayaka (romantic hero) is all set to take leave of his nayika (romantic heroine) who is in the pangs of separation. She sighs and her eyes are full of tears. The nayaka turns back and directs his gaze at her'.
