This painting represents a time of close ties between the Bikaner and Jodhpur royal courts, reflected in the adoptiion of painting styles.
Published (detail, similar to that below) in Shanane Davis, 'The Bikaner School: Usta Artisans and Their Heritage', 2008, plate 155. Used to illustrate a sirhmor - turban brooch worn by members of the royal family.
